Alcoholic band manager, Thom, violently spirals in the hours leading up to his daughter’s birthday. He scrambles across town in a final ditch effort to win back her trust and that of his ex-wife, however, it soon becomes clear that his past behavior may never allow him to see them again.

Meet Michael Kerwin

Michael is a self-taught actor, coming to acting from a background in architecture, art and poetry. This unique path has generated a fresh, authentic and honest approach to performance, and a generosity with his collaborators on stage or screen.

Michael’s acting draws upon a lifelong love for theatrical and cinematic art. With an intense attention to story cultivated by a passion for the written word, and driven by an innovative and open approach, he pushes the boundaries of character by deeply exploring the narrative embodied in the text, supporting the potential for lead, character and supporting rôles.

Michael can be seen in notable films such as The Creep From the Bar Last  Night, and TV shows such as Succession, Zero Day, and Only Murders in the Building, among others.

Michael’s journey began with a love for design, evolving into an award-winning career in architecture that focuses on spatial storytelling, with built work in many parts of the world earning him accolades in the industry.

He has also found a parallel space for expression in painting, abstract collage and assemblage (@kerwin856).  His works assemble fragments of images from the natural world, fashion, design, architecture as well as samples of existing art. These are composed in order to utilize and then to escape the fragments themselves, becoming a vivid reflection of an existing and unfolding culture.

From poetry – especially from dramatic monologue – he understands the power of narrative and the focus on the unique sound and language of each dramatic experience, and how poetry, like drama, can deliver nuanced dialogue with emotional impact, embody a character,  and finally deliver the rhythm and timing fundamental to the actor.
